Module 2: Checkpoint 22—Last reviewed date
Conformance: Optional (Mandatory if used) |
Requirements
Websites may display 'Last reviewed dd (or d) Month yyyy'.
If used, the last reviewed date must appear directly before the last updated date, and be displayed as 'Last reviewed dd Month yyyy'.
The last reviewed date must not appear on a homepage.
Benefits of conformance
- Including a last reviewed date assists users in determining the currency of content, if the content has not changed over time.
Risks of non-conformance
- Users may think content is no longer correct if it has not been reviewed or updated.
Implementation advice
Examples
Correct implementation
Incorrect implementation: Commas and colons should not be used, the last updated date should be on the left and the last reviewed date should be directly below the last updated date.
