This guideline specifies how to correctly identify and classify an information asset. The last section contains a checklist to assist with the identification of information assets.

This guideline supports implementation of:

  • information asset custodianship policy (IS44)
  • the identification of information assets step in the Queensland Government ICT planning methodology.
