Purpose

This policy defines a set of common data attributes for the reporting and publication of grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance data.

This policy adopts the definition of grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance as defined in Data field clarifications: Assistance types within the Queensland Government Grants Finder Program Funding Data Dictionary and Data File Standards and the Queensland Government Grants and Frontline Service Procurement (Expenditure data) Data Dictionary and Data File Standards.

The Queensland Government will ensure the consistency, quality, reliability and integrity of its grants management information in order to get a holistic view of grants and frontline service procurement across government.

Applicability

This policy applies to all Queensland Government departments (as defined by the Public Sector Act 2022). This policy also applies to accountable officers (not already in scope of the Public Sector Act 2022) and to statutory bodies under the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2019 in the context of internal controls, financial information management systems and risk management. Policy requirements

Policy requirement 1: All departments must collect the core data elements defined for grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance program and expenditure data

The Queensland Government Grants Finder Program Funding Data Dictionary and Data File standards (program funding data) and Queensland Government Grants and Frontline Service Procurement (formerly Queensland Government Investment Portal) Data Dictionary and Data File Standards (expenditure data) detail mandatory requirements for data fields and definitions. Departments are required to collect and report this data on request.
