Grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance data policy
Purpose
This policy defines a set of common data attributes for the reporting and publication of grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance data.
This policy adopts the definition of grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance as defined in Data field clarifications: Assistance types within the Queensland Government Grants Finder Program Funding Data Dictionary and Data File Standards and the Queensland Government Grants and Frontline Service Procurement (Expenditure data) Data Dictionary and Data File Standards.
Policy statement
The Queensland Government will ensure the consistency, quality, reliability and integrity of its grants management information in order to get a holistic view of grants and frontline service procurement across government.
Policy benefits
The use of a consistent approach to reporting and publishing grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance data:
- increases decision making capability through improved data quality and consistency
- helps responsive service delivery by enabling Queenslanders to find grants, frontline service procurement and other assistance relevant to them
- supports the objectives of the Right to Information Act 2009 and Queensland Governments Open Data Policy Statement.
Applicability
This policy applies to all Queensland Government departments (as defined by the Public Sector Act 2022). This policy also applies to accountable officers (not already in scope of the Public Sector Act 2022) and to statutory bodies under the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2019 in the context of internal controls, financial information management systems and risk management.
