Digital graduates for agencies
Nominations for the 2025 digital graduate cohort have closed.
For Queensland Government to be leaders in agile and innovative digital solutions for Queenslanders, we need digital skills in analytics, design, user experience, security, programming, and system evaluation.
You need to ensure your team has the right skills to meet current and future workforce needs. The Digital Graduate Program can build your team’s capability and knowledge to support digital shifts.
All Queensland Government departments, statutory authorities and government-owned corporations are invited to participate.
Regional EOI trial
In 2024 agencies were given the opportunity to offer digital graduate placements in regional locations. Unfortunately, there were no regional roles made available for the 2025 intake. This opportunity will be offered again when agencies EOI's open in April 2025 for the 2026 program.
Recruiting a graduate
For a one-off fee of $6,000 + GST per graduate, this award-winning program offers initial recruitment administration including assessing high-calibre candidates, soft skills and leadership development program, and ongoing support for the duration of the 2-year program.
Successful graduates are appointed and employed by your agency at an AO3 level (or equivalent) on a minimum 2-year temporary contract. We have a wide variety of graduate roles to choose from.
Access the digital graduate program toolkit for more information and support about recruiting a digital graduate for your agency.
Graduate support
We provide each graduate with support, networking opportunities and professional development to give them the tools and confidence to bridge the transition from graduate to digital professional and leader.
The Digital Graduate Program provides graduates with an opportunity to enter a leadership program and jumpstart their careers. We retain up to 87% of participants who establish their careers in the sector, filling critical roles that are usually hard to fill and retain.
You will be assured of:
- a professionally managed and cutting-edge recruitment process
- initial screening of candidates
- a nationally recognised leadership development program
- ongoing program administration and support for agencies and graduates
- continuous improvement of the program based on feedback from departments.
