Digital graduates for agencies

For Queensland Government to be leaders in agile and innovative digital solutions for Queenslanders, we need digital skills in analytics, design, user experience, security, programming, and system evaluation.

You need to ensure your team has the right skills to meet current and future workforce needs. The Digital Graduate Program can build your team’s capability and knowledge to support digital shifts.

All Queensland Government departments, statutory authorities and government-owned corporations are invited to participate.

The digital graduate program is supportive of expanding opportunities in regional areas and will continue to seek expressions of interest from participating agencies.

Recruiting a graduate

For a one-off fee of approximately $8,000 + GST per graduate, this award-winning program offers initial recruitment administration including screening high-calibre candidates, soft skills and leadership development program, and ongoing support for the duration of the 2-year program.

Graduates are employed by your agency at the AO3 (or equivalent) level with salary and on-costs paid by the participating agency on a 2-year fixed-term temporary contract. We have a wide variety of graduate roles to choose from.

Graduate support

We provide each graduate with support, networking opportunities and professional development to give them the tools and confidence to bridge the transition from graduate to digital professional and leader.

The Digital Graduate Program provides graduates with an opportunity to enter a leadership program and jumpstart their careers. We retain up to 87% of participants who establish their careers in the sector, filling critical roles that are usually hard to fill and retain.
