The Social Services Category Council (SSCC) governs the category strategy for the social services spend profile across Queensland Government.
The SSCC aims to improve cross-agency and sector collaboration, as well as procurement and contract management practice, while delivering value-for-money outcomes.

Decision-making authority
The SSCC relies on the cooperation and agreement of member agencies.
It doesn't have authority to make decisions that commit or direct the use of agency resources.
Decisions requiring the direction and commitment of resources are referred to member agencies for authorisation.
Request a presentation to the category council
The SSCC welcomes requests from organisations and individuals to make presentations to the Council (the SSCC).
You may arrange to present on a topic within the scope of the SSCC by emailing SocialServices.Secretariat@dcssds.qld.gov.au.
Presentations should be less than 20 minutes, including question time.
Industry Reference Group
The Social Services Category Industry Reference Group meets quarterly.
