Send emails using Springboard
If you're the panel chair, you can email candidates using Springboard. You might do this to update candidates on your recruitment process or to arrange interviews.
You can send emails to candidates from Springboard, however Springboard cannot accept emails back. If you require a reply from candidates, make it clear in the email where they can send a reply to. If you cc yourself, you'll receive a copy of the email for every candidate you send it to.
- Access Springboard via the link emailed to you or log in to Springboard using SSO.
- If you’ve never used Springboard, you may need to link your SSO account. Follow the instructions provided.
- If you have more than 1 Springboard account, you’ll need to select the Advertised vacancy log in button.
You can see a copy of emails sent to candidates in the Communication tab of the Candidate Review page.
You can send an automated email to candidates that have not been shortlisted by using folders in Springboard.
See the Use folders and communicate with candidates section of the Request feedback in Springboard (Shortlisting) page.
Candidates may receive an unsuccessful advice email from Springboard once a recruitment process is completed.
After the Appointment form is approved, the QSS Recruitment team will update a candidate’s status in Springboard to Unsuccessful. This will trigger an automatic email to the candidate from Springboard.
The Recruitment team are the only ones who can initiate the automatic unsuccesful candidate emails.
Withdrawn candidates
If a candidate has withdrawn from the recruitment process or declined the job offer, they will not receive a unsuccessful advice email, as long as this information is included on the Appointment form.
