Access Springboard
Access Springboard to shortlist applications, workflow candidates through the selection process and appoint a candidate to a role.
You can access Springboard directly without using SSO via the links Queensland Shared Services (QSS) provides by email as part of the advertising process .
Panel chair link
When a vacancy is published, QSS emails the panel chair and hiring manager (named in the Request to hire form) a unique link to access Springboard and start shortlisting.
The panel chair can use this link or the SSO link provided on this page to access the applications.
Panel member link
When a panel chair invites panel members to shortlist candidates or endorse a selection report, QSS emails panel members a unique link to access the applications in Springboard. Panel members cannot use the SSO link provided on this page to access applications and provide feedback.
You can access Springboard via single sign-on (SSO to complete appointment requests or, if you’re a panel chair, to complete recruitment shortlisting and selection.
Choosing accounts
If you have multiple accounts (i.e. Advertised vacancy and Appointment form), select the Advertise vacancy log in to complete shortlisting and to workflow candidates through the selection process. Select the Appointment form log into complete an appointment request.
Registering for SSO
If you’re accessing Springboard for the first time, you may need to register your details for SSO.
- Select Log in via Single Sign On and enter your agency email address.
- You’ll receive an email with a link to Springboard.
- Select the link to complete your registration.
If the hiring manager or panel chair is away and you need to progress the recruitment vacancy, you will need to contact Queensland Shared Services for access.
- Submit a request in the QSS Self Service Centre.
- Select Recruitment (advertise, appoint, JEMS) for What is your request about?
- Select Appointments for Recruitment type
- Select Yes for Do you need access to an advertised vacancy?
- Select Yes for Has the hiring manager or panel chair changed?
- Complete the mandatory fields and submit.
If you’re a panel member and your access has expired, ask the panel chair to reset your link. The panel chair can access Springboard via the link emailed to them or log in to Springboard using SSO (as outlined on this page).
Panel chair steps
- Select the jobs icon (it looks like stacked, fanned out pieces of paper). This is in the thin column on the left, under the dashboard icon (looks like a computer screen).
- Select My jobs from the list of options displayed after you select the jobs icon.
- Select the job reference number.
- Select the three small dots icon (this is at the top right of your screen under your initials). This shows more options.
- Select Applications. You will see a list of applicants for your role.
- Select the Applications folder in the left Folders column. You may need to expand the left column if you cannot see the folders. It may also look like you have this folder already selected. Make certain the folder has a shaded colour behind it. Select this folder as an action even if you think it might be already selected.
- Select Actions (this is at the top right of your screen).
- Hover over (or select) Across all pages and then Select all candidates.
- Select Actions again.
- Select Review tools, then select Request feedback. If you cannot see the Request feedback option, it means you have not selected the Applications folder correctly (go back to step 6).
- Select the checkbox, Include all candidates who have had requests for this feedback step at the bottom of the list of candidates.
- Select Next (this is at the bottom right of your screen).
- Next to the panel member’s name, select reset.
- Select X in the top right of the screen to close the Request feedback window and return to your Applications folder. The panel member will receive a new link to Springboard.
