RIT Fortnightly Newsletter - Proclamation update - Welcome SES and MRQ - June 2024
Find out more about the Disaster and Emergency Services Reform.
International Volunteer Day (IVD) is a day celebrated annually on December 5th to recognize the selfless efforts of volunteers around the world. Volunteers are an essential part of responding to the challenges faced by communities globally. From providing disaster relief to supporting social causes, volunteers play a crucial role in making the world a better place. IVD provides an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of volunteers and to encourage more people to get involved in volunteering.
On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to all volunteers who are serving within the State Emergency Service, Volunteer Marine Rescue, Coast Guard and Rural Fire Service.
We appreciate their hard work and dedication, which have made a significant difference in the lives of people they have helped. Their contributions have been invaluable, and we are grateful for their continued service.
As we celebrate International Volunteer Day, let us reflect on the positive impact that volunteers have on our communities. Let us also encourage and inspire more people to get involved in volunteering and make a positive difference in our state in support of our communities.
