Acting Commissioner Steve Smith acknowledged the three people who lost their lives in a plane crash near Cloncurry in an update to QFES staff on Saturday 4 November.
Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives and also those who worked alongside them, including QFES Air Ops personnel.

We appreciate that last week took its toll on everyone - it wasn't easy to do a transition and activation at the same time! You all handled it like troopers, and we really want to thank those in the SDCC, including Watch Desk staff and other functional areas.
We also had a number of Emergency Management Coordinators deployed to assist with the fires over the last week, and we have some snaps below!
