Payroll/HR

Your payroll details will change over from QFES Aurion to QPS Aurion next pay period, and your last access date to QFES Aurion will be  on 25 October 2023.

Accommodation

I understand there has been some conversations occurring about moving from your current location earlier than planned.

Unfortunately, due to the ICT transition and a number of other factors which form part of the MOU and Schedule, this is unable to occur until further advice.

Whilst this may be frustrating for some of you, it is important that any changes to work location occurs within the appropriate and planned timeframes so as not to cause unnecessary and avoidable disruptions.

If you have any concerns in relation to this, please email RIT.DMProjects@police.qld.gov.au

Corporate Cards

QPS has advised corporate cards can be activated on receipt and staff should start receiving cards this week.

Weekly wrap up

QFES "Thank You" Event

Today, the QFES RIT held a Thank You Event for the transitioning DM staff. We had a pretty good turn out!

Commissioner Leach, A/DC Greenfield, D/C Wassing, A/DC Marcus, and even the Honourable Mark Ryan, Minister for Police and Corrective Services and Minister for Fire and Emergency Services all came along to thank our staff, hand out some well deserved certificates medals and steal some mini quiches.

Ms Jane Zsombok was presented with a Distinguished Service Medal (DSM), QFES Medal and clasps for Diligent and Ethical Service and Ms Janelle McCarthy was presented with a QFES Medal.

Transitioning staff were also presented with a Commissioners Certificate and thank you letter as well as a QFES Challenge Coin. We recognise, a number of staff were unable to attend the event due travel, or for some they were flying the DM flag at the LGAQ Conference  helping to give our stakeholders assurance as we progress through this change. If staff were unable to attend the event, the transition team are arranging delivery of your certificate, letter and coin to be presented to you as soon as possible.

Thank you to the QFES RIT Team who put the event together.

2023 LGAQ Annual Conference

We have a few members of the RIT DM Team and the EMCC attending the 127th Annual LGAQ Conference in Gladstone this week.

Which of course means we have the obligatory plane photos. And as always, our resident selfie Queen is also making the most of her time at the Conference. See below.

This year's theme is "Stronger Councils Stronger Communities" and it presents an opportunity for all stakeholders to talk through critical issues impacting their community, make connections and share disaster and emergency management knowledge.
