Major Projects Delivery partners with Queensland Government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure across the state.

Our services

• Planning and design development—we help you understand and document project or program scope, risks, costs and delivery pathways.
• Procurement—we guide you through the entire procurement process, from initial market soundings and industry engagements to the development of significant procurement plans, contracting strategies and contract documentation.
• Project/program management—our project managers work with you to monitor progress, quickly resolve issues, maintain high safety standards and adhere to governance processes that ensure projects and programs run smoothly, as planned and on budget.

Our project management systems are based on best-practice methodology and deliver value through:

• a highly skilled workforce which brings expertise across the entire project life-cycle.

We can also:

• provide principals’ representatives and site representatives, as required by the contract
• help with the effective and early resolution of contract disputes

Our strategic partnerships

Major Projects Delivery is part of Major Projects Group, which also includes the Contract Services and Strategy teams. This bolsters our service through specialist advice on contractual matters relating to the procurement and delivery of government projects as well as advice and guidance on the end-to-end lifecycle management of infrastructure projects and programs.

We also work closely with other Department of Housing and Public Works business groups including:

• QBuild
• the Office of the Queensland Government Architect
• Building Policy and
• the Queensland Government Accommodation Office.

Fees

We operate on a clear and transparent cost-recovery funding model. Our fees are determined by applying competitive rates to the actual time worked and align with the Queensland Treasury’s Principles for Fees and Charges (PDF, 619KB) as well as relevant Queensland legislation, directives and policies.
