To establish a framework to give effect to the government's commitment to employment security where employees are displaced following workplace change.

Previous directive

Agencies may advertise vacancies concurrently with referral for service-wide priority transfers, redeployment or longer term secondments as directed by the Commission Chief Executive.

The Commission Chief Executive could approve concurrent advertising on a case-by-case basis only.

CCE directions

As at 30 September 2022, all non-frontline AO3 – SO (or equivalent) vacancies, that are permanent, or temporary for 12 months or greater:

  • are required to be referred for service-wide priority transfers, redeployment or longer-term secondments
  • and
  • may be advertised concurrently with referral
