Queensland public sector leadership development series 2024-2025
Join us for a targeted executive leadership development program for 2024-25, including ANZSOG offerings sponsored by the Chief Executive Leadership Board.

We have three fantastic programs with application deadlines on the horizon:
- Aim high with the ANZSOG Executive Master of Public Administration – Apply by 5 November 2024
- Chart your leadership journey with ANZSOG Towards Strategic Leadership – Apply by 28 January 2025
- Elevate your management skills with the QUT Public Sector Management Program – Apply by 4 February 2025

ANZSOG Executive Master of Public Administration
Who’s it for: A08 to SES2 levels or equivalent
What you’ll learn: The Executive Master of Public Administration Program (EMPA) has been designed exclusively to equip program leaders and executives with the leadership, management and policy skills needed in today's public sector.
Course duration: the EMPA is a two-year part-time postgraduate program.

ANZSOG Towards Strategic Leadership
Who’s it for: A08 or equivalent and above
What you’ll learn: Towards Strategic Leadership (TSL) is specifically designed to meet the needs of senior public servants and provide you with the opportunity to reflect, learn and grow to be able to carry out your role with clarity, wisdom and energy. Public sector leaders are facing exceptional challenges in the demanding, complex modern political landscape. They’re expected to maintain a long-term perspective while dealing with the daily pressures of their roles. TSL has built a formidable reputation in assisting senior leaders to operate effectively in this environment and personally thrive.
Course duration: Consists of four-day residential and four online consolidation modules.

Number available: 4 scholarships on offer
QUT Public Sector Management Program
Who’s it for: There are two eligible groups:
- Emerging Leader group:
- People Leaders: A07 or above and
- Technical Leaders: A06 or above
- Diversity groups:
- Women in leadership at A06 and up
- People with a disability
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who speak a language other than English at home
- Aboriginal people and or Torres strait Islander people
What you’ll learn: The Public Sector Management Program (PSMP) provides current and aspiring team leaders and program managers with the knowledge and skills to successfully navigate the business of government and position themselves for future leadership opportunities.
Course duration: Consists of four-day residential and four online consolidation modules.
