Queensland public sector leadership development series 2024-2025

Ongoing development of leadership capability is intrinsic to an ever better public sector that is high performing, innovative and future-focused, capable of making a positive difference to all Queenslanders.

The Public Sector Act 2022 provides an ambitious and exciting vision for Queensland’s public sector and sets the foundation for the Even better public sector for Queensland strategy 2024–2028 (Even better strategy). It recognises that every day, the Queensland public sector comes to work, ready and willing to serve our community and builds on our strengths to be responsive, culturally capable, fair, apolitical, and high performing.

The Public Sector Commission is pleased to promote the first six months of the 2024–25 Queensland Public Sector Leadership Development series, with programs delivered in partnership with prominent providers including the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), and the NeuroLeadership Institute (NLI). ANZSOG offerings are provided on behalf of the Chief Executive Leadership Board.

The series features masterclasses presented by leading psychologists, academics and practitioners from domestic and international settings with expertise in public sector management, leadership, neuroscience and innovation.

Most relevant to executive leaders, senior officers, and aspiring senior leaders, the 2024–25 series addresses themes identified as part of the Even better strategy.

Registration is open for the first 9 of 15 masterclasses that will be delivered as part of the 2024–25 series. The first of these sessions will run until November 2024.
