A message from the Premier: Mid Year Fiscal and Economic Review update
A message from the Premier about the Mid Year Fiscal and Economic Review.
A personal message of thanks and best wishes from the Premier and Minister for Veterans to the Queensland Public Sector.
As we approach Christmas, I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all the best for the festive season. I want to thank the Queensland Public Service for all you've done in calendar year 2024. It's been a big year and I want to thank you for what you do for our state. For those of you who get a chance to have a break with friends and family, please enjoy it. For those working through, just know how grateful your state is for your service. I want to thank you for what you've done in helping us come to government and the way that the machinery of government changes have worked is something that I'm immensely grateful for. With your help we've passed to making Queensland Safer Laws. We've set up an independent infrastructure and coordination authority for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Some key Cabinet subcommittees: tourism, resources, housing—that's underway to drive the change in some really important areas for the state. And we've established the independence of the Public Sector Commission. They're important things for Queenslanders and I want to thank everyone who's worked on them. 2025 promises to be a really important and exciting year for the state. But in the meantime, take every opportunity to spend some precious time with friends and family. Stay safe, watch a bit of cricket and have a really, really merry Christmas.
