Queensland Government Regional Network

Find out how your agency can use the Queensland Government Regional Network service.

Agencies can use the Queensland Government Regional Network to connect to Brisbane’s core network and enable seamless integration with services such as GovNet.

The regional network is a high availability network that uses the collective buying power of government agencies to deliver lower network costs and higher network performance through reduced duplication.

Using this service in conjunction with the Queensland Government Internet Service helps enable Queensland government organisations to meet their obligations under the Information and cyber security policy (IS18) and improve cyber security maturity.

Technical capabilities

The regional network is a multi-carrier high-capacity service designed for optimal regional oriented communications.

See detailed features and service characteristics (PDF, 63KB).

Queensland Government agencies, statutory bodies, local government authorities and government-owned corporations are eligible to use this service at cost.
