Single sign-on

Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication process that allows you to access multiple services and applications using one username and password.

We use your Microsoft Office365 account to authenticate your log in credentials.

Your experience will differ depending on whether you use a government or non-government network.

Government network

The first time you use SSO, you might be asked to enter your Microsoft Office365 account details.

On subsequent visits, you'll be taken directly to the service you’re logging in to (unless you clear cookies or browser history, use a different computer, or log out of your Office365 account).

Non-government network (or using Firefox)

SSO can be used off-network for applications and systems that are available off-network (e.g. For government). It doesn't give you access off-network to systems and applications available only on the government network (e.g. Aurion ACE Employee Self Service).

When you use SSO off-network, or via the Firefox web browser, you will be asked to enter your Microsoft Office365 account details on each occasion.

If you have problems using SSO contact your agency IT service desk. Check your intranet for their contact details.

Most Queensland Government agencies use SSO. If your agency doesn't use SSO, contact your agency IT service desk and let them know you would like to use it.

Most government-owned corporates, non-government organisations, and statutory authorities do not currently use SSO. If your organisation doesn't use SSO, contact your IT service desk and let them know you would like to use it.

You can use SSO to:

  • access employee-only content on this website
  • book a meeting room in some government buildings (Condeco)
  • log in to MyCareer to complete training
  • log in to the QSS Self Service Centre
  • log in to Aurion ACE Employee Self Service.

SSO saves your agency money by reducing the likelihood that you'll call your IT service desk to reset passwords and unlock accounts.

SSO also increases productivity by reducing the time you spend looking up usernames and passwords, and giving you faster access to applications and services.
