Leadership and capability development community of practice
Members of the Leadership and capability development community of practice (L&CD CoP) gain access to information, resources and support from a sector-wide network.
Our membership includes leadership and capability development practitioners, other human resources practitioners, and those with an interest in leadership and capability development.
The only eligibility requirements for membership are that you must be:
- a public sector employee of any level; and
- interested in or working in leadership and capability development.
Speak to your line manager to gain their support of you joining the L&CD CoP and then email development@psc.qld.gov.au to become a member. The Public Sector Commission (PSC) will add you to the L&CD CoP Teams channel, where you can:
- access resources
- view past meeting recordings
- post questions or opportunities to share with the community.
PSC will also send you the calendar invites for the upcoming meetings.

Outcomes
- Knowledge and resource sharing: To provide a place and space for members, learning partners and industry experts to share their knowledge and experiences in leadership and capability development, and to learn from the experience of others.
- Skill development: To support the development of members and their clients by providing opportunities for learning and skill development in leadership and capability development.
- Collaboration: To facilitate collaboration among members and promote the exchange of ideas and contemporary practices in leadership and capability development.
- Innovation: To promote contemporary leadership and capability development practices through sharing and learning by doing.
- Community building: To foster a sense of community among members and provide a supportive network for individuals working in leadership and capability development within the public sector.
