Recent data breaches have put a spotlight on potential information security risks for agencies who manage copies of identity documents collected in the course of their business.

Queensland State Archives (QSA) is updating the GRDS to:

• provide options for the sentencing and disposal of copies of identity documents to meet business and legislative requirements.
• encourage agencies to review internal processes regarding the collection and storage of copies of identity documents to reduce potential information security risks.
