The Reform Implementation Taskforce (RIT)—under sponsorship of DC Chelepy, State Disaster Management Coordinator—have successfully delivered significant enhancements to the state’s disaster and emergency management services. These enhancements were achieved through the Queensland Disaster and Emergency Management Reforms Bills, which were passed in Parliament on May 2nd, 2024.
