Overview

The Digital services policy requires Queensland Government departments to submit an annual digital services (previously named ‘web content’) accessibility plan by 31 October each year, commencing in 2023.

Options for completing your plan

  1. Use this template (recommended) to help draft your accessibility plan.
  2. Submit your accessibility plan in your own preferred format.

The plan should outline how digital services will meet accessibility requirements under Digital service standard Criteria 9: Make digital services accessible.

Approver/s

It is typically your department Chief Information Officer or Chief Digital Officer who will approve the completed plan, but this is up to each department and may include more than one approver.

Submit your plan

Send your approved plan to designandcapability@chde.qld.gov.au.

We will use accessibility plans to help identify common issues and capability needs across government. We’ll share our overarching learnings and improvement opportunities in de-identified and aggregate form only—your plan or identifying information will not be shared.

This plan is not a pass/fail compliance exercise.
