The building construction and maintenance (BCM) category includes:
- new infrastructure, such as construction of schools, hospitals, government buildings and housing
- maintenance of existing infrastructure.
The BCM category spend was approximately $5.8 billion for the 2023–24 financial year.
This comprises:
- building contractors
- trade contractors
- specialist services
- property and real estate services
- materials and equipment
- building operations.
